Rabies Vaccination Clinic and Dog Licensing Day

All dogs, cats and ferrets living in Massachusetts are required by law to be vaccinated against rabies.
From the City of Somerville's press release:
All dogs must be leashed and cats must be in carriers. No prior record is needed, but vaccines will be for one year only unless current rabies certificate is supplied. The cost for the vaccine service is $5.00.Somerville residents are required to license their dogs, and a current rabies vaccine is required to obtain a license. The City Clerk will be available to license dogs, $6.00 for spayed and neutered dogs (proof needed), and $12.00 for all other dogs. Please note that after July 1st, 2006, the fee for spayed and neutered dogs increases to $10.00, and $16.00 for all other dogs.
