In partership with Union Square Main Streets and in conjunction with the American Kennel Club's Responsible Dog Ownership Day, the Somerville Dog Owners Group is proud to present "Paws at the Market" at the Union Square Farmers Market, Saturday, September 16, 2006, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Participants include:
Beagles of New England States (BONES) - Rescuing, rehoming, spaying/neutering and providing necessary medical care to beagles in need in the New England Area.
The Collared Canine - Different Collars for the decidedly different dog
FiDough - Pet Bakery, Grooming Salon and Boutique
Greyhound Welfare - An ex-racing greyhound rescue and placement group
New England Dog Training Club - The oldest existing AKC obedience club in the country
Volunteers are needed to help out at the som|dog information table: We will provided literature and free buttons; you will greet the 1300 Farmers Market visitors and shoppers and share our information and resources with them. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY: Inexperienced volunteers will always work with experienced volunteers.
