On this fifth anniversary of our honoring our veterans by walking the City's Memorial Day Parade, the Somerville Dog Owners Group thanks Walter Pero, Ward Four Alderman, for suggesting that we walk in the Parade back in 2005 and supporting our application. We also thank Frank Senesi and his staff in the Veterans' Services Department for organizing a parade that gets bigger and better every year—one of the best community events in all the surrounding cities and towns!

The parade route is 2.25 miles. It begins at City Hall, follows Highland Avenue to Davis Square, then Holland Street to Teele Square and proceeds along Broadway to Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Clarendon Hill.
