Dilboy Stadium Parking Area Looks Great

Volunteers from the City of Somerville, the Department of Environmental Protection, Governor Patrick's office, Green Medford, Matignon High School, Somerville High School and the Somerville Dog Owners Group helped clean up the area around the parking lot for Dilboy Stadium at the Alewife Brook Reservation, Saturday, April 24.

The Mayor's Team and Team Bad to the Bone earned points in the Mayor's Fitness Challenge for participating in the clean up!

Thanks to Mary, DCR staff, who supported our efforts by hauling away the trash we cleaned up and to the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation for organizing the fourth annual Park Serve Day.

And, for donating refreshments for our volunteers, thanks to our friends at Johhnie's Foodmaster, True Grounds, 717 Broadway, Ball Square, and Venus Pizza and Grill, 1293 Broadway, Teele Square (website coming soon: order online at allmenus.com, foodler and GrubHub).

But mostly, thank you, everyone who worked hard to clean up the parking area at Dilboy Stadium!

A lot of people who visit Dilboy Stadium use the parking lot, and it is along the route of everyone who walks along the Alewife Brook Reservation or drives along Alewife Brook Parkway in West Somerville. Everyone who helped clean up around the parking area for Dilboy Stadium can take pride helping to make our parks and open space more beautiful.
