Support Paw-Friendly Ice Melt on the Community Path

Ward Six Alderman, Rebekah Gewirtz, submitted an order at the regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen on January 27, 2011, "that the Commissioner of Public Works explore the possibility of using pet-friendly ice melt on the community path surface, as the harsh salts are an irritant to dog’s paws."

Alderman Gewirtz submitted the order in response to an e-mail she received from Sarah Hall who lives in Ward Six and enjoys walking her French Bull Dog, Boykins, on the Community Path.

Please join the Somerville Dog Owners Group in extending our appreciation to Rebekah and Sarah and in supporting this board order!
